+Picschick Posted January 1, 2011 Share Posted January 1, 2011 I purchased the premium membership today primarily so that I could download the details of each cache to my GPS, but that's not happening. I can send the cache to my GPS, but when I select it and go to "Notes", there is only the name of the cache shown and none of the details that are on the web page. I have a Garmin etrex Venture. This is very frustrating and I feel like I've wasted my money. Am I doing something wrong? Perhaps there is another way to do this? Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama Posted January 1, 2011 Share Posted January 1, 2011 The Garmin eTrex Venture does not support displaying the additional cache data on the unit. Is it a straight Venture or is it another model such as the Venture HC? If it is the Venture HC, then you will be able to load some of the information to the unit (but not all of it) but using Pocket Queries, GSAK (a software program on a PC), and Garmin's POI Loader and loading them as Custom POIs. Alternately, you could use an inexpensive (older) PDA such as a Palm and load the Pocket Query data that way. Quote Link to comment
