I recently purchased a used Garmin 60CSx with MapSource Topo 2008. I use the GPSr for caching and some traveling, is there better software than what I'm using?

Software for my motorhome.....LOL..... Topo 2008 is for the GPSr, so I guess for the GPSr. Thanks in advance....

There are better maps for streets than topo. You could go the garmin route and use CN and then you could auto route with the gps. There are free maps here that would give you the streets, but no auto routing, plus the topo maps are pretty good also.

 

Then you could do many things using GSAK to manipulate the data sent to the unit.
