foxtrot_xray Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 On a related topic, the NGS server is erratic this week due to planned outages. Electrical work is being performed by the power company. -Paul- That's a joke. I mean the power company. After spending years down in Georgia and then moving up here, Pepco has the worst service (not customer service, utility service) I've ever seen. This 'power' droppage at the NGS building will make it over to my office by early next week - simply because they're *adding new curbs to the road out front*. Because of this, a transformer has to be moved. Because Pepco can't move the transformer *first*, they're turning off power to the block, letting the DOT rip down the pole, place the new pole, then their techs will make necessary connections and restore power. (My office is across the tracks from the NOAA buildings.) I'm actually looking to one or two extra weekend days next week. Quote
