PonderingPawn
Why dont we make travel bugs be a little digital video tapes that we send out with destinations. Like send it to certain land marks and have a little bit taped. then check that place off the list and it goes to the next place. once all places have been taped then it goes back to the home place. People could watch where its been and then tape a little then send it on. It would be a blast to get it back and watch where its gone. I think the Tape could have a number associated with it and a check off sheet of what wants recorded.? Just an idea. Let me know what you think and how could we get this going? Pondering Pawn. +BigNick
What a great idea, but what about format? MiniDV, MicroMV, Digital8 (plus analog 8mm, SVHS, VHSC, Hi-8...) - No matter what you choose you are going to eliminate some cachers with video cameras, but I do think it is a awesome travelbug idea. Cheers Nick. Quote Link to comment
+Nurse Dave
Maybe you could find a small floppy disk holder and send a floppy on which people would put images they took of the T.B. This way as long as the cacher could get an image on the computer, they could get it on your bug. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow. Quote Link to comment
+Bryan (Admin)
Perhaps you can attach a travel bug to one of those USB keyfob disk drives. http://diskonkey.com/ That way, people could upload their own video files (or photos) to the drive (assuming enough memory and ethics capacity). I guess the price may be high now but eventually they be cheap enough... Happy Geocaching! -Bryan Quote Link to comment
tatoeba
I think your idea is great. I was thinking myself on sending a blank CD where people could burn their files related to the topic chosen. The good thing is that the CD is thin and you get a lot of space like 750 MB I think. PonderingPawn
I think the blank cd sounds best. People could put pictures on it, movie clips, anything. Would I guy send something out on his own or do we try to tell others some how? Ponderingpawn Quote Link to comment
