+rascalgaskells
Hi All, I'm after some advice and wondered if anyone could help. At the UK Mega Event last year my husband and I bought a lovely geocoin from one of the stalls. When we got home and tried to register it we found that it was already owned - my the owners of the stall. Various contacts via email and they finally agreed to sort out the situation - we agreed to adopt the geocoin and transfer it into our name. As far as I can tell the original owners need to start the ball rolling by putting it up for adoption (like a geocache?) and then we would transfer it. Since then I have been chasing the owners regularly and they never reply. Is there anything I can do or have I just to accept I've been cheated out of £10 :-( Any help/advice most appreciated Quote Link to comment

+Landsharkz
You could go on the assumption that they don't perhaps know how to adopt out a coin and send them the link that they need to use and explain that for this adoption to happen, they need to start by following the instructions at this link. http://www.geocaching.com/adopt/ Quote Link to comment
