Question for Oregon 550 users

I was out caching the last couple of days and actually wanted to take some pictures. Twice I took a picture , which went fine, but I go to take another picture and I find an image on the screen (from the camera) frozen. I didn't clik the shutter - it seemed to do it on it's own. Then I find the 550 unresponsive - even the power button. I had to remove the battery to get it shut off then it rebooted normally. I haven't used the camera alot but this happened twice in one day and it doesn't happen everytime you take a picture. I have the 3.8 firmware update. Everything else seems to work fine. Anybody else have this issue?

I take pictures all the time and have never had this happen.

Same here, plenty of pictures with no issues. I did read the camera operates poorly with low batteries, have you tried a fresh set?

this has happened to me. It happened alot when I had it set to put the pics on the oregon instead of the memory card. Once I changed that setting it hasnt happened but once or twice but I have taken about 2000 pics with mine so once or twice is an OK number for me. I love the rugged camera function I just dont like the delay in taking pics.
