+GoingBald Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Is it considered bad form to visit your own cache to grab a travel bug left by some one else to move it along? Do you log your cache visit, or just log the grab of the bug? I see a bug in my cache that is supposed to visit the ocean then start back to the Pacific. How long is suggested to allow it to sit until I should move it? Questions questions questions...... Quote
+Squirrel Nut & Beersnob Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 I think the general concensus is that it's fine to visit your own cache to pick up a travel bug if you can help it on it's way. Generally, you'd log the pickup as a note in your cache. And most ppl. that I know want their bugs moving around as frequently as possible. If you want to wait a bit to see if someone else wants to pick it up, mayhe wait until after the first full weekend from when the bug was dropped. +Web-ling Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Sure, visit your own cache and retrieve a TB. BUT - only log a "note," not a find, on the cache page. Quote
+GoingBald Posted September 26, 2002 Author Posted September 26, 2002 It's been there about a month now so I think that's a fair amount of time. I've been wanting to check it anyway after some heavy rains that came through. Thank again guys!! "It's life, but not as we know it.." - Spock Quote
