Some people use that term for people who do not geocache, or who do not know about geocaching. People passing by a cache location on the street who might be waiting to swoop down on the container or people who wonder what you are doing poking around here or there. There are various theories about these kind of people, and various threads that have addressed how to deal with these situations.

In the Harry Potter series of books by J. K. Rowling, muggle refers to a person who lacks any sort of magical ability and was not born into the magical world.

So people that are not geocachers are muggles....

I have been reading the other forum and there are terms like ALR, PAF, etc. Are these listed somewhere that I can look up what they mean?

Here is a great compilation of many of the geocaching terms and abbreviations by Prime Suspect

Because geocachers have magical powers.

Does that mean that my noncaching daughter is a Squib? I don't think she would like that.
