+Marky
My Mysterious Smashed Penny Trader travel bug was left in McKena's B-Day Cache (Birds Eye View II) , which is a micro-cache in the Houston area. I don't feel great about the travel bug sitting *outside* the cache. Could someone rescue it and put it in a normal sized cache? (Any normal sized cache anywhere would be fine.) The travel bug told me that he is willing to *give* you a smashed penny from his collection, if you have none to trade, if you help him find a cache he can fit in. +SoftballJunkies
Sorry, Marky. We tried to rescue your Travel Bug but it was not there. WE searched the entire area with no luck. There was not even a clue in the log book. Quote Link to comment
+Marky
I feared when I saw the drop, that something bad might happen to him. How sad. I have no idea why someone thought it would be okay to leave a travel bug *outside* a cache (a micro-cache, no less). Oh well, we learn by our mistakes. --Marky Quote Link to comment
Rubbertoe
Umm - are you sure it actually left the starting point? I am trying to imagine how it could have gone 1500+ miles in the matter of 24 hours. Oh wait - it looks like you actually physically handed it off to him, eh? Hmm... that's a shame - yeah, you wonder why someone would leave it out in the "open" like that. Strange that he couldn't find the log book, even though the next few people could. Oh well - hard to tell what happened, good luck with any of your future bugs. Sorry to hear about your loss. - Toe. --==< Rubbertoe's WEBCAM >==-- Quote Link to comment
+Marky
The no log book thing has me thinking that where he left it wasn't the *real* cache at all. Maybe muttdog can tell one of you precice directions to where he actually left it (since it sounds now like there is a chance that it's not at the actual cache). Quote Link to comment
Rubbertoe
Marky, maybe you could ask him if it was this that he found: http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/log/381420_200.JPG (the little container, not the little girl ) If not, I fear your bug might be still sitting out in the "open" - not near the actual geocache, but next to some trash or something. - Toe. --==< Rubbertoe's WEBCAM >==-- Quote Link to comment
+Marky
Yes! The bug was rescued by jck and was placed into Budde 2. All you smashed penny enthusiasts and now grab the bug and do some trading! --Marky & Joani Quote Link to comment
