Couch_Potato
I'm not sure about ones that are permanently underwater, but I know that there are a number that exist along the coasts below the high tide level. A while back there were some pictures here showing one of these tidal benchmarks at both low tide and high tide. I'm not lost! I just don't know where I am. Quote Link to comment
+infosponge
I've found one that is tidally submerged. Look up AL0965 for photos. Quote Link to comment
+Team Gryarvold
We have one (maybe more than one) that is now underwater with the lake that has gone in back in the 60's and the last time the marker was recovered was in 1943, next to a farmhouse that is now underwater as well. Do we mark that (these) as unfound? Quote Link to comment
+BuckBrooke
Benchmarking, not geocaching. At best it would be a Not-Found. A submerged disk under a lake is nigh unto useless for a surveyor. Quote Link to comment

Good enough, thanks for the info, although I am pretty sure that I knew it was Benchmarking and not Geocaching and that the disc would be useless now underwater. I may be new to this forum and such, but I don't believe I was born yesterday. Just making sure I do things correctly. Quote Link to comment
+jwahl
Someone could probably start a special subcategory of recovering marks that have been submerged by reservoirs, etc. Scuba gear, skin diving, snorkels, glass bottomed buckets and boats. Definetly an opportunity for specialization on someones part. - jlw Benchmarking, not geocaching. At best it would be a Not-Found. A submerged disk under a lake is nigh unto useless for a surveyor.
