+texasgrillchef
I noticed how many geocachers are using a variety of wonderfull little programs that provides an interesting array of geocaching statistics for that geocacher. I find reading through the statistics & looking at the charts & graphs of many of the users to be very interesting. I just started using one of these wonderfull little programs for myself as well. I learned a few interesting things about my geocaching habits that I wouldn't ever have thought. Now I am wondering now if there are any programs that can provide similar type statistics, graphs & charts for our Travelbugs as well? The program I am using for myself doesn't provide any TB statistics. The kind of statistics/charts/graphs that I would love to see of course are not provided directly by geocaching.com. Some of these include... Average number of miles traveled per hop. Which hop & geocacher that took it the longest/shortest distance. Which geocacher had it the longest amount of time, took it the most number of hops, as well as who took it the most number of miles & if that geocacher did that in one hop or multiple hops. How many geocachers "Discovered" it. Grabed it, & retrieved/dropped it. How many caches did it visit? What type of caches were those? (Micro, Small etc..). Which cache did it have the longest stay at & for how long? Whats the average length of stay at a cache? Does it stay at a cache most of the time, or is it dipped more? These are just a few stats/graphs/charts that I could think of off the top of my head. I am sure their are more one could come up with as well. All of which could be determined by a program reading the TB's logs as well as reading the Geocacheinfo & possibly even the Geocacher's profile page as well. Sure... There will be "Errors" in the stats/charts/graphs for many different reasons. But that is normal for ALL stats/graphs/charts that you might make about ANYTHING in life. No statistical analysis is perfect or 100% correct in this world. What I would like to know... is how many of you out there would be interested in something like this? That could then be included in the TB page just like it's included in some Geocachers profile page? TGC Link to comment
+texasgrillchef
Wow.... Really? No one has any interest in Stats/Charts/Graphs on their TravelBugs? I kinda find that hard to believe seeing the number of profiles that make use of Stats/Charts/Graphs on caches found etc... Also from the lack of response. I take it that there aren't any Macros, or other programs that do this yet then? TGC Link to comment

Just asking if their is any interest in having stats/charts/graphs made fromt he data of your own TravelBugs. Obviously programs such as GSAK & others are providing stats/charts/graphs about how you geocache, & how your "hides" are being found & by whom... etc.... Apparently the method that GSAK is using along with the MACROS created by geocachers isn't breaking the TOU/TOS policy. Since I figure that they are able to do that with the geocaches you find & those that you hide. Why coudln't it be done with TravelBugs/Geocoins as well? I personally would love to be able to have stats/charts/graphs generated. Doesn't matter to me HOW they are done. Providing of course that it doesn't break the TOU/TOS policy terms of Groundspeak/geocaching.com. It also doesn't matter to me if this is generated directly by the geocaching.com web site, or some other program. TGC Link to comment
+bionicfish
Completely agree with you on this one! I think some stats for travelbugs would be great! It doesnt have to break the rules either! (way to bash people down for thinking of great ideas). Alot of sites do stats by people uploading their pocket queries, however travelbugs are not included in pocket queries, eg you cant generate a request for all the travelbugs you own. (Sadly) I would love to be able to do this.... Link to comment
