DownwardlyMobile
I have one of these. One of the problems I'm experiencing is that the pedestrian setting on this gps still wants me to follow roads. If it's in a park with no roads it bugs out. Will it suffice or should I get a used handheld? If so, how much can I expect to spend on a lower end yet decent model? Quote Link to comment
+jeffbouldin
Not only do you need to go to pedestrian mode but also offroad mode. You will find however that a handheld GPSr will work better. Use the 250W to route you to parking and the handheld to the cache. You can find a good used unit for under $100. New units for about $150. And full peperless for $200-$500. Quote Link to comment

Thanks for the reply! Quote Link to comment
hoyshnin
Offroad is under "navigation" I believe. You should read everything here which will explain how to use your nuvi's settings and how to also use it paperlessly - http://geocaching.totaltechworld.com/ To the person above, what kind of paperless units are you refering to exactly in the $200 range? I thought they were all $300+. Quote Link to comment
