n8nbu
From: Dave ( profile name (n8nbu) Can any one help me with this decision, I'm looking at buying the 60 csx maping hand held gps , but does any one know if the new Dakota's or Oregons models let you down load the previous log visits and additional hints from the geo-cache site? So I do not have to print them out and carry them with me. Quote Link to comment
+fegan
The Garmin Colorado, Oregon and Dakota (as well as the Nuvi 500/550) all have paperless geocaching. Quote Link to comment
+out12
Yes, the Oregon and Dakota GPSs let you load a GPX file with logs, descriptions and hints right on the unit. Very nice paperless setup. Quote Link to comment
SaltyCacheNutZ
Yes! I just went through this too... hubby got me a 60csx which is "geocaching friendly"; It loads the coords and some info, but most of it gets cut off. I have been told an inexpensive solution is to buy a cheap used PDA and keep PQ's with all the info on there... but if you want it all in one device ( like me ) with the hints & logs definitely go for a model that has "paperless caching" like the ones just previously mentioned. The Oregon is great! Quote Link to comment
