jadjwarner
Hi. We're in ABQ, USA trying to find a 2.5 (ya, we're new, but confident HAHA). The puzzle for GC222AP is a series of photos that describes degrees, 0 minutes, minutes thousands first two, etc. I don't understand all these numbers. And what are 0 north minutes, etc? *ETA: not trying to get clues or help here folks. Trying to understand GPS coordinates and how they read* Tried to find this cache based on coords given, not solved puzzle coords. Of course it was a DNF. Help? +Touchstone
Have you tried emailing the cache owner to see if they can give you a clue ? Just an FYI....it's considered poor form to give out hints or solutions to Puzzle caches on the Forums. Have a Happy Holidays! Quote Link to comment
jholly
There are a variety of formats to express a location on the earth. The format used in geocaching is HDD MM.mm, degrees decimal minutes. Other formats are HHDD.dddd, HDD MM SS and of course utm. Jim Quote Link to comment
+PDOP's
There's some good information about the different formats at 'Different degree formats: Resolutions and conversions' (link) Quote Link to comment
