+tallyho22
Is it possible to download National Geographic Topo Maps to my Explorist 500. I have tried by using a card reader and no results. Does anyone have any suggestions . Thanks Byron Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Nope. You must use maps that are specifically designed for the GPS unit. Quote Link to comment
+geodarts
I used topo 3d with the explorist until I found a way to convert Magellans older 4.12 (if the number is correct) because it had some fire roads that the 3d lacked - there was also a tedious way to add trails. The Tritons support the National Geographic maps. Edited December 4, 2009 by Erickson Quote Link to comment

Rocketsteve
Another option you could explore is downloading maps for free from: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/ Quote Link to comment
