+DoLu
Here is the problem I have a few thousand caches built in the GSAK database from which i download to the GPS receiver . The problem is that if a cache has been archived since pocket querried it into the database, it wont get updated as " archived" in my next pocket querry of that region. The result is that i will eventually be looking for a cache that has been archived. The question is Is there a way to get the archived caches into a pocket querry which would update the GSAK database??? Thanks for the help on this Dolu in Sherbrooke quebec Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Not a Getting Started issue. Moving to the GPS & Technology forum, but you should really consult the GSAK forums. They have great support there. http://www.gsak.net/board/ Quote Link to comment
GOF and Bacall
You should probably ask over at the GSAK site's forum. My way to deal with it is to not maintain an off line data base. I run a fresh PQ for the area I'll be in filtering for the type of hide I'm interested in hunting at the time. TPTB have made it clear that they are not going to design the site around a third party system. Quote Link to comment
jholly
You can not get archived caches in a PQ. The way to deal with it in GSAK is sort on Last GPX date and any caches not updated are probably archived. You can then delete these caches and update your GPS. Jim Quote Link to comment

+Shelbrain
There is also a GSAK macro called "Cache Cop" which will do the same thing on your database. I run this prior to going out. I can even search for caches that other cachers have requested "Needs Maintenance" or "Needs Archiving" on-that way I wont be wasting what precious little geocaching time I have.
