+BlackbeardBear
I am headed up o Onion Valley tomorrow and I would like to stash a cache. Before I do so, does anybody know if Geocahing is allowed in the Inyo National Forrest? Specifically Onion Valley? I know that physical caching is not allowed in National Parks. Is there a place on the web that has a good compilation of areas in which geocaching is supported/not supported? Thanks for your help!! -B Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
You'd best off check the local forums. Also take a look at the cache map of the area. If you see a lot of caches there already, then it's likely OK (though permission might be required). If it is devoid of caches then that is probably for a good reason. Quote Link to comment
+Criminal
Just do what I do. Whenever you go into the Forests, Wildernesses, or Parks, just drop an appropriately labeled geocache box. If it gets approved, bonus, if not, someone will tell you. They sell the labels here. Quote Link to comment
