Instant Notifications having a GPX file included

I am not sure if there is a different way of updating my GSAK database from my instant notification emails than how I am currently doing it.

This is what I do:

1) Receive email

2) click on the link for the cache page

3) click on GPX exchange file and start the download process

Is there a faster easier way? It would be nice to have a GPX attachment in the email like you do for PQ's. This way, every time an owner disables, enables, changes coordinates, archives, etc. you don't have to keep going back to the cache page to update the information.

I know I can run a PQ for some of these things but why waste a PQ on it when I am already getting an email from GC.com letting me know that one of the above items has changed with the cache. I do not know how much more of a strain this would cause on the servers because I am not that computer savvy.

This is just something I would like to see added to the instant notification feature.

Thanks.

Neither Instant Notifications nor Pocket Queries are designed to help you maintain an offline database. On the contrary, we actively discourage this for a variety of reasons - some to your benefit and some to ours.

I would support attaching .GPX files only to new cache Instant Notifications (for PMs).

Thank you for the reply. That would be fine to have it on new listings. I do not have a large database through GSAK. I mostly use it to record my finds to use on my profile page and to store archived geocaches in the area to remember why it might not be a good idea to hide a cache in a certain area since we can longer bring up archived caches.

In fact, the archived cache might be another one that could have this feature until the capability to retrieve archived caches returns.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

I support .gpx attatchment to notifications, and have asked for it in the past, but let me understand your reply here...

Your OK with giving me the info for new stuff (agree here), but your against giving me info that would keep me from going after a cache that has been archived, so I still have that info on my gps and I end up pissing off some land owner or some one similar?

This sounds contradictory to me.
