+gpsgeology
When I searched for earth caches in Texas on the earthcache.org site, I found only one. Is there only one? If there is only one, why is it? Is there something about Texas that makes it difficult to get a earth cache approved? Any info appreciated. Steve. Quote Link to comment
+StealthRT
When I searched for earth caches in Texas on the earthcache.org site, I found only one. Is there only one? There are about 50 EarchCaches in Texas. The search function on the EarthCache website is at best questionable, at least when it comes to searching within a state. My suggestion is to click on the EarthCache Listings link. Once there, click on the excel export button at the top of the records grid. Open in Excel and sort by state. Scroll down to Texas. If excel is not available, once you get to the EarthCache Listings, click on the State/Prov button twice. The top listing should now be in the Czech Republic. If so, you are on the right path. Click the Records per Page dropdown to 200. Click the blue arrow just below the Records Per Page (the arrow with no bar) three or maybe four times. This should show you the listings for Texas. Hope that helps. Quote Link to comment
+gpsgeology
Stealth, Thanks for the tip. I saw some great Texas Earth Caches to chase. I just could not believe Texas did not have more notable places, geologically speaking! Steve. Quote Link to comment
+TerryDad2
The advanced search on GC can also be set to look for EarthCaches within a particular state. Quote Link to comment
