+Team Geofrog
Hello geocaching community! I own a Garmin GPSMAP 60csx and love it! I'm planning a trip to Europe next year and of course I want to geocache! But here is my problem: how to load more than 1000 waypoints? Is it possible to load them on the micro SD card? I won't be able to bring my Blackberry, so I can't get an idea of where the caches are prior to loading them on my GPSr. You see, I like to look on the GPSr map as we drive along and if there is a nearby cache, go to it. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
+EraSeek
You are limited to 1000 wps. However you can load up as many custom poi's as your card will hold. I have 5000 in mine right now. You can even "save them" over as found caches as long as you have not filled up the 1000 wp limit. Quote Link to comment
+fegan
POIs are the way to go for large loads. If you don't already use it...check out GSAK for loading geocaches as POIs, there may even me a GSAK macro to make the job a little easier. Quote Link to comment
+Team Geofrog
Thanks! This worked perfect. I also used GPXtoPOI. It converted the gpx file to a csv, then I had a custom POI. Quote Link to comment
