slicvickie
Found a plastic baggie in a cache today. Bag had some writing on it and a picture with a note saying it was a TB in honor of somebodies cat. No name, no TB tag, just a note with an address in DC where it was intending to go. It's dated 2005. How would I go about finding the tb # or owner? BlueDuece, you seem to be the master of wayward Travel Bugs, any ideas? Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
Geesh, no pressure here! Let's see what the clues show us. Can you tell me what cache you found it in? Fact is it's probably a bug for SlytherinAlex's tribute bug race for a cacher named Mark "The Cat". Now I just need to find my copy. Mark "The Cat" Charity Travel Bug Race Mark Thompson, founder of geocacheuk.com died on 9th September 2004. This travel bug is taking part in a race in his memory. slicvickie
Will scan the note and pic tomorrow at work. My scanner is fritzed at home. Note says it's a tribute to a cat named DC (Da*ned Cat) and wants to get to it's previous apartment in Washington DC from Washington state. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
Looks like it was a victim of a cache event. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1242012 Current GOAL: DC (d*mn cat) used to live in Washington, D.C. before she and her owner moved to Washington state. DC is curious (she is a cat afterall) about what's going on in her old neighborhood. Please help DC get to her favorite bench in front of her old apartment at 1101 L ST NW, Washington, D.C. 20005 Quote Link to comment
slicvickie
That's it exactly! I just knew you could find it! Take a bow! I sent an email to the owner, to find out what they want to do with it. Copy tag, or substitute tag and new mission tag, return to owner, or whatever. I have recently been reading so many forum posts of all the bugs that have gone missing. It tickles me to no end to be able to help get a bug out of the dreaded 'Unknown Location" Quote Link to comment
