+bittsen
Now you can add a personalized message to the Colorado on startup. Just plug your Colorado in. Run the BETA 2.92 upgrade located here http://www8.garmin.com/support/agree.jsp?id=4531 Then allow the GPS to reboot and plug it in again. Navigate to the GPS folder on your PC and open the file called startup.txt with notepad At the bottome of the text file there will be a line with instructions. (basically you type what you want your message to say). You can have 5 lines of text. Now you can personalize your GPS with a message of ownership. And for feature 2. This one may or may not be known by all. You can change the skins (backgrounds) on the Colorado menus beyond the choices that the garmin comes with. First, create the skin you want by making a .jpg file that is 250px wide and 400px tall. Next, plug the Colorado in and navigate to the folder called \Garmin\Profiles Add the created skin to that folder and it will be available the next time you start the GPS. Feature 3. This I found by reading a forum somewhere. You can take a screen capture of your garmin Colorado by pushing and holding the right control button. You will hear a tone after about a second and the image will be in a newly created directory called \Garmin\scrn Anyone have any other cool features that aren't documented with the unit?
