The Vista is smaller, lighter and 7 hour longer battery life. And it's cheaper Some people have a preference how each fit in the their hand. On average I think they both fit fine. I went with the Vista HCx. Plus I already have the etrex accessories. (Case, mount, etc) Quote Link to comment

Go to a store that has both, hold them in your hand & fiddle with the buttons a bit.. ..in no time you will KNOW which one you want. I've got the Csx and love it (It's water proofer). Only problem I have with it is We use it in follow road and it gets stuck when I switch to off-road mode. Usually have to turn off then on again. Mine last about a week of cache on Lithium battery (choose in menu). Quote Link to comment
