+sassmo
January 3rd two of my TBs were placed in a cache that was pending approval. A few days later I found out the owner of the cache improperly placed the cache in a park that has restrictions on where caches can be placed. I sent an email in February requesting the status of the TBs and he said he'd retrieve them soon. I sent another email about 2 weeks ago and another email today, requesting info. I haven't gotten a response. What action should I take? Do you think Groundspeak would give me the coordinates for the cache so I can at least go retrieve my bugs (and possibly remove the cache)? +Harry Dolphin
Well, there are cachers who go for FTF on unpublished caches by following the TBs in the cache. That assumes that the CO did not change the coords after placing the TB in the cache. And it also assumes that there is actually a cache in place. Following the maps on your TBs, the cache is 12.3 miles southeast of one of the caches your bug was last in, and 19.2 miles southeast of the other. In Cougar Mountain Reg Wildlife Park. (And, there are other caches in that park!) Depending on how accurate the mileages are, you might be able to triangulate the actual coordinates, and get reasonably close. Though it does look like rather tough terrain. Good luck. Or, you could try asking GC for help. Quote Link to comment
