+Turtle_Sask Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 I was wondering that if i were to plan a 9 stage multicache would ALL of the stops have to be 548 feet from other caches or does it just have to be the first one? Quote
+Kohavis Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 All of the stages need to be at least 528 feet from the nearest published cache, but they can be as close to each other as you want to place them. But I wouldn't make them too close or cachers might find the stages out of order. Also, keep the distance between stages within walking distance (say 150 to 300 feet) and your log entries will be friendlier. Quote
+Wintonian Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 My understanding is that the 528ft rule only applies to 'physical containers' so clue locations that ask the finder to note down a number fron a sign post for example can 10, 20, 30f etc.. from each other in theroy. If someone has tos obtain some information from and atual physical cache like a number on the log book then the 528ft rule applies. Quote
Motorcycle_Mama Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 (edited) Here's how the Cache Listing Requirements/Guidelines read. http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#sat The cache saturation guideline applies to all physical stages of multicaches and mystery/puzzle caches, as well as any other stages entered as "stages of a multicache." The guideline does NOT apply to event caches, earthcaches, grandfathered virtual and webcam caches, stages of multicaches or puzzle caches entered as "question to answer" or "reference point," or to any "bogus" posted coordinates for a puzzle cache. Within a single multicache or mystery/puzzle cache, there is no minimum required distance between waypoints. Edited March 22, 2009 by Motorcycle_Mama Quote
