+roolku Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 (edited) When you edit your trackable item you have the option to select a "Bug Image" from the gallery of that item. This mechanism seems to be broken - some entries result in an error message: -- snip --- Your request has resulted in an error. You may choose to retry your previous request. Or you may tell us what you were doing when this error occurred. --- snip --- others select a completely different image (as seen here: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=89837 it is meant to show http://img.geocaching.com/track/log/displa...0fb0afb893f.jpg ). OpinioNate Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Very bizarre. Occasionally it will accept a different image edit but the image then displayed belongs to an altogether different trackable item. I'll make sure this is fixed. Thanks for letting us know.
+roolku Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 This is still not working. Do you have any updates?
OpinioNate Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 No, sorry. But we haven't forgotten about the problem.
+roolku Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 No, sorry. But we haven't forgotten about the problem. Any chance to get this finally fixed? It really takes the fun out of this TB if I can't display it's current form.
+BlueDeuce Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 You can put an image directly in the Mission or Description field. Just copy the link of the photo, put it into the html as shown below and paste the whole thing into the bug page. <img src=" http://img.geocaching.com/track/log/displa...b893f.jpg"

+roolku Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 You can put an image directly in the Mission or Description field. Thank you. I am aware of that workaround, but that only displays the image on the TB page and doesn't provide the full "Bug Image" facility. For example it doesn't update: http://img.geocaching.com/stats/tb.aspx?gu...12-4b9464c2cd9a Also I'd rather they fix the existing functionality and not require users to jump through hoops.
+BlueDeuce Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I wasn't suggesting that you jump though hoops so they wouldn't have to fix it. Have a nice day.
