+AshleyPo Posted February 28, 2009 Share Posted February 28, 2009 Once on a caching trip with my son using his ATV we got near the cache and came upon a deep ditch in the middle of the woods. We were near, so we thought, so we decided to leave the ATV and walk the rest of the way. Not thinking, we did not set a waypoint for the ATV since we were supposedly real close. Needless to say, it was further than we thought and got turned around in the woods and lost where the ATV was parked. Too make it worse, these were strange woods to us since we had never been in this area before. We walked for roughly and hour before we finally found the ATV. Needless to say, we never tried that tactic again. We laugh about it now, but, it really wasn't funny at the time. Quote Link to comment

We looked around the area a week later and found it in the Home Depot lot next door. It had been stolen, and some items removed from it, then dropped back off. The police had been unable to find it.
