masterallen
I have a Colorado, and recently loaded a PQ which had way too many geocaches of the types that I'm not overly fond of. So I refined my search on the PQ, deleted the original one and loaded the new PQ. When I turn my GPS on though now, it hasn't "unrecognized" the old caches and loaded the new ones. Any help with this would be appreciated. Cheers, MA Quote Link to comment
flattie
I am not a MAC user, but I have read on here if you are, you have to empty your trash can after you delete the orignial file. The original file should be in Garmin/gpx folder Quote Link to comment
g-o-cashers
What version of software do you have on the Colorado? Most recent is 2.9 and there was a fix a while back to address the issue of file deletion on Macs (and sometimes PCs). Quote Link to comment
myotis
you have to delete the old PQ off the GPS or load a new one with the same name. The best way to load the PQs is via GSAK, but you can directly copy the PQs onto the CO. Quote Link to comment
Crid
Along with the Mac-specific advice (clear the trash while the device is attached), I'd also point out that child waypoints get loaded as regular waypoints. So even after deleting the GPX file, the child waypoints are still there (unlike the caches, which should disappear). You end up having to delete those manually. That's a bit annoying. +g-o-cashers
That's one of the main reasons I use the GSAK Colorado/Oregon Export macro -- it can send child waypoints as POI's which makes managing cache data on these devices much more easy. http://www.gpsfix.net/?p=322 Quote Link to comment
