bonaccord
I have a Magellan Explorist 100 which is extremely easy to use. However it started to give very inaccurate results. So I bought a Garmin eTrex -which is excellent from an accuracy point of view but it is horrible to use - clunky buttons, tortuous way around menus, hard-to-see poor screen images (threes look like eights for example). I would dearly like to be able to go back to the Explorist, but checking it gainst the Garmin today it was about 350 feet out and is clearly useless for geocaching. Is there anything I can do to put it right or do I have to sadly bin it? John Quote Link to comment

RV'n Iowans
...have you tried clearing the memory & restarting? That should do it........the 100 is simple but very effective....good luck Quote Link to comment
+Ernmark
..one thing - if you had WAAS before, the reset will cause you to lose it because of the new satellites....but if you're 350' off before the reset & you can get back to the right few meters, it is worth the tradeoff.
