Placing caches in Ocala Forest

We are looking to place a cache in the Ocala National Forest. Can anyone advise me whom I need to contact for permission?

I would suggest you get with someone from Northeast Florida Geocachers Assoication. They should be able to help you.

Under current conditions, explicit permission is not required to places caches in National Forests in Florida. However, management staff in the ONF have indicated that this might change in the future. Abuses by off-roaders have led to tighter restrictions on access to some areas but managers are not convinced that our game poses any real harm to the resource.

Space Alien activity is at an all time high in ONF, so be sure you wear an AFDB. Also, your chances of getting "probed" diminish greatly if you only hide ammo cans. NSA secret documents indicates there's some trace elements in the paint of an ammo can which repulses most space aliens. Thirdly, trilogeriforniterradonium, (a compound used in the creation of film canisters), acts as a space alien aphrodisiac, so I highly recommend you avoid any contact with film canisters immediately prior to, or during your trip in the forest.
