+sam in nc
Hey Everyone, I've been having trouble hooking my Garmin Vista HCX up to GSAK recently. A couple of months ago I would hook it up and load the waypoints over to the GPS, no problem. Now when I connect it and try to send waypoints I get this weird message. It's like this: Error sending waypoints. [ERROR] SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces: No data is available Is the Garmin USB unit number 0 powered up and connected? Is it really a USB unit? If it's serial, don't choose USB, choose serial. [ERROR] Get_Time: Unknown date/time protocol GARMIN: Can't init usb: When I connect the Garmin to the computer (USB), the computer recognizes it on the F Drive so I think it must be a problem with my settings in GSAK or something. I have it set on USB, Garmin, everything looks fine. Is anyone familiar with this problem? Quote Link to comment
+PDOP's
When I connect the Garmin to the computer (USB), the computer recognizes it on the F Drive ... I don't think your computer should be seeing that model as a drive. ... so I think it must be a problem with my settings in GSAK or something. I have it set on USB, Garmin, everything looks fine. Is anyone familiar with this problem? I'd suggest you ask on the GSAK support forums Edited December 2, 2008 by PDOP's Quote Link to comment
+sam in nc
Thanks PDOP's....I'm not sure if I phrased the drive part correctly. When I plug in the Garmin, the computer chimes and if you go to My Computer, you see "Removable Disk (F:)" as an icon. I'll post on the GSAK forums too. Quote Link to comment
+PDOP's
You could also try reinstalling the Garmin USB Drivers (link). Quote Link to comment
