GSAK/Vista HCX Connection Problem

Hey Everyone,

I've been having trouble hooking my Garmin Vista HCX up to GSAK recently. A couple of months ago I would hook it up and load the waypoints over to the GPS, no problem. Now when I connect it and try to send waypoints I get this weird message. It's like this:

Error sending waypoints.

[ERROR] SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces: No data is available

Is the Garmin USB unit number 0 powered up and connected?

Is it really a USB unit? If it's serial, don't choose USB, choose serial. [ERROR] Get_Time: Unknown date/time protocol

GARMIN: Can't init usb:

When I connect the Garmin to the computer (USB), the computer recognizes it on the F Drive so I think it must be a problem with my settings in GSAK or something. I have it set on USB, Garmin, everything looks fine. Is anyone familiar with this problem?

I don't think your computer should be seeing that model as a drive.

I'd suggest you ask on the GSAK support forums
