+herr_tichy
This is about GCJFZH. The owner has last logged in to gc.com in August, over a month ago. From his profile, it seems, that he has given up on geocaching in late 2006. The multi above was in really bad shape for a while, so I set out to repair it, replaced the log, replaced the container etc. However, it still has the "needs maintenance"-flag set and only the owner could undo that, however he doesn't seem to care. Is there any way to adopt a cache without owner's consent? The start point is right in front of my front door, so I wouldn't have too much of a hard time looking after that cache Edited September 28, 2008 by herr_tichy Quote Link to comment
+River Cacher
I would post a needs archived and then once that is done reactivate it under your name and do all repairs upgrades or what ever you would like. This will take about 30 days so he does get a chance to come around. Quote Link to comment

+9Key
Is there any way to adopt a cache without owner's consent? Nope, not anymore. GS discontinued the practice of forced adoptions in the last several months. I would do what River Cacher suggestioned and post the "Needs Archived" log them post your own cache in that spot.
