Browsing on Geocaching.com, I just noticed a virtual cache "Welcome to Las Vegas" where you log a find by sending of photo of you in front of a famous place. The cache listing includes 285 bugs in its inventory. How is that possible since their is no physical place to leave the bugs?

Some cache owners, along with others will place their bugs in a virtual cache to get it out of their drop inventory. Even though it seems to suggest that a bug isn't in a real cache somewhere it still shows up in local searches.

Most likely, the cachers are placing the bug there that they brought there and retrieving it. This way, it recieves mileage.

This works becuase the object of travel bugs are to travel around a goal. If it's to travel to a certain place and back home for example and this virtual cache is in the place, the would bring it there with them, log it, then retireive it. IT still hold relavance because it acually visited this location.

Nah, in this case it's a TB storage location, not just bugs being logged through on a journey.

I see, but I still have seen such things done with Virtual caches. But you're right, some cachers do do what you are saying. Thanks for contributing!
