+Berjr1 Posted August 17, 2008 Share Posted August 17, 2008 I have noticed that the magnetic field within my vehical will mess with the compass in my 60csx and I will have to callibrate quite often, this could add to your problem too, but to keep from a calibration fail try slowing down your turning when you calibrate the unit. +DENelson83 Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 Make sure you're standing far enough away from any metal objects and that you are holding the unit as horizontal as possible while you're calibrating the compass on your 60CSx. As for your accuracy problem, try using freshly-charged batteries, make sure "Battery Saver" is not chosen, and that you are holding the unit vertically to get as accurate a fix as you can.
