I have some friends in Buffalo that like to go geocaching. I live in Rochester now. Anyways, if you would be willing to meet 1/2 way in Buffalo maybe we could get a small gathering together to do a big geocaching day. -Raymond

Hello, What is a good resource to find pictures of the local poison plants and other things to be aware of while hiking in New York?

I recently found a nice site for Rochester Geocachers called Geocachers of the Rochester Area, or GeoRoc for short. Just wanted to point it out to anyone who may be from or visiting the area. You can meet some of the locals on there. -Raymond

This probably isn't a super story, but it was physically the most work for me so far. I found one yesterday that was in a block of ice. It was inside the crack between several trees and was 95% covered and surrounded by ice. I had to find a small sturdy stick and spend at least 20 minutes chipping the ice around it to get it out. -Raymond

Hello, Are there any groups in the Western NY area. I go hiking and/or camping often. I'm new to geocaching. I don't plan on doing much around town, but I got hooked when I buddy introduced me during a trip to a local state park. I'd to do more of these related to good hiking and camping spots. -Raymond
