+drdick&vick
Hi I have already posted this in the main Geocaching section. I am on a long holiday in Cornwal near TRuro and have found a few good places to place cahes but cant as I am to far from home. I have noticed that some people have placed caches and got them adopted for maintaining. How can I go about finding a kind person to do this for me. Quote Link to comment
+Birdman-of-liskatraz
You could try the local forum at The Kacher Forum But I get several requests a year to maintain caches and I guess others do as well. But please feel free to pop in and ask. I'm near Liskeard so a bit out of the way for Truro I'm afraid. Quote Link to comment
+scottpa100
Rather than getting caches adopted looked after by a local person - why don't you work on getting local cachers to place a cache in their own name in the area? Quote Link to comment
+Bambography
The best way i've seen is to look at other caches in the area. If one particular cacher owns many of them, send them a nice polite email explaining what you want to do and ask if they mind keeping an eye on it for you. On the cache page you can then put that it is a cache by you and maintained by..... Also be worth making it clear that you will send them any replacement items that are required so they know that its not going to be costing them money to maintain it for you! Quote Link to comment
