Still Didn't Fix the Lithium Battery Issue

Has anyone been able to use lithium batteries in their Colorado 300 after the update? Mine still can't use them. The screen just fades out a short time after turning the unit on, even if set to "LITHIUM" setting. What goes on here?

I'm wondering if the unit's clock has finally been fixed so it can actually maintain accurate time. That would be nice in a $500 device!

I haven't tried it myself (immediately switched to NiMH rechargeables when I discovered that alkaline battery life sucks), but I have seen posts from other users who get acceptable battery life from lithium non-rechargeables. For example, here, here and here (although the last one seems a little out of line with everybody else). Might be time for yet another RMA.

Agree with twolpert, most people seem to have good luck with NiMH batteries (8-12hrs with 2500mAh), very good luck with Lithium (I've heard reports close to 18-20hrs) and poor luck with alkalines (<3-5hrs).

I would be thinking about an RMA.
