troutnmuskiehunter
Hi...I've been contemplating buying a GPS for a couple of weeks now and have been tossing the idea of getting the Lowrance H2Oc versus the Garmin 70CSX.. The main usage for me will be for fishing waterways (lakes and rivers) within Eastern Ontario, Canada and I'd really like to use it to find some back wood trout lakes when I'm on my ATV.. What S/W do you recommend buying for the H2Oc for these 2 applications and is the Lowrance a good unit??? I was also told that the color unit screen was difficult to view during sunny days as opposed to the black and white...any truth to that?? Thanks!!! Quote Link to comment

+Indotguy
I have an H20 and now an H20C and am well well satisfied. I use it for hiking and Geocaching and I've never had a problem viewing either the BW or the color screen in sunlight although for my old eyes the backlight is usually necessary in the shade.
