ssgeo83
I see that you can download .loc files onto your GPS from the geocaching website. I also see that there are gpx files. What is the difference between loc and gpx? Quote Link to comment
O-Mega
I see that you can download .loc files onto your GPS from the geocaching website. I also see that there are gpx files. What is the difference between loc and gpx? The loc will only give you the coords, cache name and waypoint name. The gpx will give you that plus a few other details such as logs, hints, TB yes/no, etc. Quote Link to comment
ssgeo83
Thanks. Do you know whether gpx is compatible with Garmin eTrex Vista Cx? Quote Link to comment
O-Mega
Thanks. Do you know whether gpx is compatible with Garmin eTrex Vista Cx? Garmin's Mapsource can open and load GPX files into just about any Garmin GPS, but I recommend GSAK so you can manipulate the output. I load my points so it has a short name plus the size and wether or not it has TBs in it. i.e. Eight is Enough (GCV3PD) becomes: EightIsEn SN (the S means small and the N is no Bugs).
