Meridian Source?

OK, Ms. TH3 is hooked and wants her own handheld. I have a Garmin Legend HCX. Just for fun, I'd like to have a 2nd unit of a different brand and it seems like a lot are happy with the Magellan Meridian (platinum). Can I get some advice on a source for one of those? Preferably other than ebay? Or maybe some convincing on a comparable unit in the Triton series?

Looking for advice........Trying to stay under $150 for this unit.

Thanks!

Oh my, I just sold one a couple weeks ago for $80. I still have a Meridian Gold if you are interested. I’d sell it for $70 shipped.

You do realize that there is a huge difference between the Meridian display and the Legend HCx display? It’s kind of like comparing black & white TV to high definition TV. It almost makes me ill to look at a monochrome GPS display anymore.

Costco.com has the explorist 500le which is color and came out between the meridians and the tritons. They are $120 plus tax and shipping. Don't know if your a costco member, but you might check that out. Also have to concur with cacheoholic, once you get used to a nice color screen the monochromes are really annoying.
