+JM45ACP
Hi first post I purchased this unit a few days ago I had it in the truck today and all seemed well when I got home i took a little walk around my yard when I stopped the map screen was going all over the place when it finally settled down the map was wrong it showed the street I live on in back of me and it was to my left.I tried this several times it seems ok when moving but if i put it down the map reads wrong half the time .The other thing is if I have it stationary and it is reading correctly when I pick it up the map starts spinning. My other GPS (meridian platinum)does not do this do I have something set wrong or is this the way tis unit works.Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank Quote Link to comment
Glenn W
You don't mention the map set you are using. The base map doesn't even try to be accurate. Topo 2008 isn't even close when it comes to streets, but focuses on back country accuracy. CityNav maps generally shows good accuracy for most streets. Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
It sounds like you have the map set to Track Up instead of North Up. Any unit will drift somewhat, so that your track seems to change while sitting still. Quote Link to comment
+ryan3295
Make sure you have the electronic compass turned off. You can do this by pressing and holding the page key from any map screen until you get the dialoge compass turned off, or compass turned on. Quote Link to comment
