Garmin's Mapsource & PQ's... easier than Google Earth

I posted this on the General Geocaching Forums, but felt it was important enough to post here also...

 

This was mentioned on another thread by another poster (I can't find it right now)...

You can create a custom route with Garmin's Mapquest...

Just click, click, click the route...

save it as a .gpx file...

and upload to GC.com...

then create your route pocket query...

Very Kool...

and a lot easier than using Google Earth...

for a custom route that does not follow the Google Earth Directions Route...

 

It provides a way to plan a route off the major highways and most direct route to your destination...

 

We often plan routes when we go from NJ to upstate NY...

and want to get off the Thurway at an exit and take back roads to the next entrance...

It is very combersome to do with GE...
