I ended up downloading the european version of the firmware and then replaced the base map with North America. The site above guided me through this as well as a couple of the folks here. Good luck. Twinfan Posted December 1, 2007 Share Posted December 1, 2007 I have a 500 and it locked up. When I removed my SD card it started working again. I wiped out all the detail maps that I had on the SD card and recreated them. Apparently one or more of the old detail files were corrupted and the device was locking up whenever I tried to power it up. Hopefully your fix is as simple... Quote Link to comment
