+LARCjpn
I had a Magellan that worked fine, but I lost it. My husband has a Garmin that we've been using. We each like to have our own and have finally decided we won't ever find mine again. I would like to get a PDA style unit with GPS so that we could download the cache info onto it when we travel (which is quite a bit). We usually don't have access to printers so we would like to be able to download the cache info to carry with us. Can anybody recommend a unit OR tell us a unit that we should stay away from (and why)? Quote Link to comment
+DoubleBogie6
Take a look at the Nokia N800 data tablet. It will blue tooth to a cell phone for access to wireless broadband cell phone carriers. Been paperless for about 4 months with it...awesome! Oh yeah, not too proud of it but we are with Verizon and cache nationwide. team doublebogie6 Quote Link to comment
+rlridgeway
I use a PDA/GPS setup and think it rocks. If you get a PDA with the Pocket PC operating system I strongly recommend checking out the Backcountry Navigator mapping software. I would recommend a PDA that has Wifi and Bluetooth.
