+bottleboy
We have been caching paperless now for several months using the geocaching swiss army knife (GSAK) program. We really love using the program because it is so easy to use. The only problem that we have encountered is that we have found ourselves searching for archived caches on more than one occasion. We usually run a querry of the area that we plan to cache and download all of the information so that everything is supposedly updated before we leave, but if a cache has been archived for a certain amount of time it will not show up on your query, therefor, the information does not get updated in the program for that cache listing. The funny thing is that we have found a couple of caches still in place after they have been archived. Is there, or can there be a way that we can run a query for archived caches in an area? The only solution that I have found so far is to dump my entire program and start it over from scratch so that these caches aren't there any more. We cache in such a large area that it wouldn't be possible to query all of the areas every day to keep it all updated. Link to comment
+Cardinal Red
I think you want to read this. Very recently asked the same question: Keeping Gsak updated?, updating gsak Link to comment
