  1. What options are available to stop people from virtual discoveries. It becomes annoying when your poor little travel bug number gets posted online for discovery rather than the intentded discovery through the real world. I guess i could go through the hundreds of logs and delete all the virtuals. What are others thoughts?
  2. We have been caching paperless now for several months using the geocaching swiss army knife (GSAK) program. We really love using the program because it is so easy to use. The only problem that we have encountered is that we have found ourselves searching for archived caches on more than one occasion. We usually run a querry of the area that we plan to cache and download all of the information so that everything is supposedly updated before we leave, but if a cache has been archived for a certain amount of time it will not show up on your query, therefor, the information does not get updated in the program for that cache listing. The funny thing is that we have found a couple of caches still in place after they have been archived. Is there, or can there be a way that we can run a query for archived caches in an area? The only solution that I have found so far is to dump my entire program and start it over from scratch so that these caches aren't there any more. We cache in such a large area that it wouldn't be possible to query all of the areas every day to keep it all updated.
  3. I am looking to buy another GPS III for our geo car the other one we have is currently owned by the Geo Jeep. And I have discovered the adhesion properties of the meridian gold I own are not good enough to keep it adhered to the hood of my jeep above 25 and there seems to be no crush resistance when run over by a passing vehicle maybe santa will bring me my garmin gpsmap60cx but until then I need to get back on the hunt Wife wants her 60cx back
  4. Thank you all for the assistance. There still exists an issue where I am not given .gpx as an option to save either from pocket querries or if I search a cache and all surrounding caches that I havent found and try to download them. So far it seems the best answer is to try a different interface program (GSAK)[]
  5. Ok I am just a simple man and sometimes need my hints. I use easygps for my tool to send file information to my GPS, a Magellan meridian gold, Whenever i go to download a group of caches in an area my computer saves them as a .loc file insted of a .GPX file. I can save individual files as .GPX but that option is available on the displayed page for the cache. But if I do a pocket Query and attemp to save te list to my computer it saves it as a .loc. I can convert it later to a .gpx file but that does me no good as the infor for the hints is only avalable in .GPX format. Please help this simple man...
