Using City Select v7 on Garmin 60Csx?

I previously had a Garmin 60C and decided to jump on board and upgrade to the 60Csx. I currently have the City Select v7 software loaded on the 60C. I know that City Select has 2 unlock codes so I have one left. I know City Navigator is recommended, but is there anything wrong with using City Select on the 60Csx? Am I missing out on alot by not using Navigator?

I also used CS7 on my 60CSx without problems before I got a free upgrade to CN8NT. The only downside, other than being slightly out of date, is that you need a 2GB card to fit all the map segments in CS7; only 1GB is needed for NT-compressed CN. Also, CS7 is broken into a lot more map segments than CN which is inconvient if you are trying to load as many topo maps as possible on a high capacity card; you will hit the 2,025 segment limit before running out of memory.

Really, these are not serious issues. I'd go ahead and use what you've got for now.

How did you manage to snag a free upgrade to CN8NT?

The best way to judge that is when the map gets noticeably outdated. I think you can go at least a few years before that happens.
