+Big Belle
I found a cache by accident. It's a micro, clearly labelled, but I cannot find any listing for it. It was mentioned to me that it may be an old lost one. Is there a way to query an area for old listings? Quote Link to comment
+blindleader
Were there recent logs in it? It could be the final of a multi or puzzle cache. If it isn't one of those, you can find archived caches by going to the listing page of a nearby cache and click on geocaching.com maps. The map page you get will have a check box at the bottom to show archived and disabled caches. Set the [identify] radio button and click on the map. A list of all the caches, archived or otherwise on the map will appear. Quote Link to comment

+Casas
Now that the geocaching.com maps have been replaced with geocaching.com google maps how do I find archived cache listings? THANKS. Casas Quote Link to comment
+Cardinal Red
After a very strong lobby by the users of this forum, TPTB have indicated the they would eventually return the ability to search for archived caches. We will have to be very patient though. This seems to be a somewhat low priority. Quote Link to comment

Perhaps someone from Ontario Geocaching has done like I have and filed all archived caches in your area on GSAK. If you were to ask me about an archived cache in Parry Sound district, I could pull it up for you. Quote Link to comment
+Casas
Thank you for the replies. I was hoping I was missing something. I would like to be able to search using the pocket queries. There are several reasons why but mostly it's the history aspect I enjoy. Quote Link to comment
