I can quickly notice if any of my friends have logged new caches. Eventually actual features are supposed to be added. Right now I'm just patiently waiting to see what we get. Link to comment

In the thread, Jeremy said, It will be cool. But it doesn't do a whole lot at the moment. You'll be able to watch your friends in the near term (and get emails when they log caches). Once we make sure the new db is helping with the scalability issues we'll get working on more features. It sounds like more good stuff is coming! Link to comment
