04852
Is there a way on Geocaching.com to locate caches more specifically than by country? We will be in specific places in Switzerland and Germany this summer. I can find caches by getting to a map and then dragging around until I find the city I'm looking for, but am wondering if there's a more efficient way to do it. Link to comment
Jeremy
I believe the Google maps provide geocoding in other countries. Try it out! Link to comment
+scottpa100
I would use the Google Earth Geocaching view thingy where you can view caches across the globe. Just have a look at this link where I have grabbed an image looking over southern Germany, western France, and northern Switzerland. You know where you'll be visiting so when you are looking at the cache map in Google Earth you can double click a cache icon and the website blurb for that cache appears. That means you'll then know the waypoint number. With that you do searches for all caches not found in x miles / kilometres radius so you can hunt 'em down!! Link to comment
+sTeamTraen
If you prefer starting from a lat/long value, use maporama.com to look up the cities which you'll be visiting; you get the lat/long on the search page. Link to comment
